Founded in 2003, Dreadrock Records Inc. is a Toronto-based independent record label. Committed to the long-term development of their artists, the company philosophy is simple: Holistic support. The brainchild of Nine Mile's own D'Ari Pouyat, Dreadrock's mandate is to cater to the specific needs of each act on its roster. The company ensures that the artist play an integral role in defining their business relationship with the label. Both the label, and it's artists share the opinion that making an honest album is much more important than striving to create hit records. We believe in honest ethical business, reducing our ecological footprint & the golden rule. Dreadrock was initially a shared venture between Nine Mile frontman, D'Ari Pouyat and NYC business man James Witmer The company currently has 50 over shareholders, and is in the midst of a second round financing.
